I’m a member of the Antarctic and Arctic Polar Swim Clubs.

Why do you make a great Schulich Leader?

Like explorers, Schulich scholars conduct and communicate novel science research. Conducting innovative investigations, disseminating research results and applying my research to environmental and social issues all ensure I contribute to the scientific enterprise.

Like magicians, Schulich scholars transform experience into service, service into science.  Through building links with people, using creative media, and modeling positive approaches, I go beyond experience to provide service¬–frequently conducting participatory research or gathering, transforming, sharing and applying information as I go.

Like inventors, Schulich scholars innovate and improve communities. I raise awareness; engage students and adults; positively influence behaviour; and protect precious ecosystems. The contributions and inspirational-value of these involvements and projects I initiated and support has been acknowledged by local, national and international organizations.

I’m excited to learn from and be inspired by the  explorers, magicians and inventors of the future.
