What is a little known fact about you?

I am quadrilingual. How did that happen? I was born and grew up in Kenya, raised by parents that inspired me to learn the cultures and traditions of Bangladesh, one of my fascinations since childhood has been Bollywood films and I guess English was one of the million reasons I was sent to school for. 

Why do you make a great Schulich Leader?

I make a great Schulich Leader because I’m mission driven. It may sound simple and unimportant, but so does the baby steps we took to reach where we are now. I don’t fight for a cause or attempt to resolve a problem because it is protocol, I do so because I try to foresee the impact it will make if the problem is solved or the cause is fought for. The thought of this little difference it may make, drives me to take on the mission. Furthermore, I don’t dedicate myself to a cause in order to gain a prestigious title on my resume; I do so in hope that it will give me perspective, teach me lessons and of course give someone else a form of education, empowerment or understanding. I believe that’s the very first ability every good leader should have, and what makes me a great Schulich Leader.
